This week, Siouxland Lean Consortium members gathered at Dutchland Foods in Lester, IA for a great learning and sharing event.
In addition to an insightful tour of the facility, members rolled up their sleeves to support Dutchland Foods with setup reduction and changeover improvement. By observing their processes, offering feedback, and sharing recommendations, the group worked together to identify opportunities that can help shorten changeovers and improve efficiency.
For many of our members, this was their first time inside a food processing facility, which made the experience even more valuable. Seeing how lean principles apply across industries sparked fresh insights and conversations that benefit everyone involved.
A big thank-you to Dutchland Foods for opening your doors and to SLC members for bringing your expertise and collaboration to the table. Events like this are a great reminder of how powerful it is when leaders across industries come together to learn, share, and grow.
