Dan Markovitz

Markovitz Consulting

Dan Markovitz helps organizations improve execution by invigorating their lean efforts. He has worked with clients throughout the US and Europe. Past clients have included Microsoft, WL Gore, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Jabil, CamelBak, Clif Bar, Goodyear Tire, and dozens of smaller companies.  

He is a faculty member at the Lean Enterprise Institute and teaches at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, the Stanford Continuing Studies Program, and the Ohio State University’s Fisher School of Business. He’s spoken at conferences around the world, including the Lean UK Summit, the Lean Island Conference in Reykjavik, the Lean Digital Summit in Nagoya, the LEI Transformation Summit, the Shingo International Conference, and numerous Association of Manufacturing Excellence Conferences.  Author of two books—A Factory of One and Building the Fit Organization—both of which were honored with Shingo Research Awards. His new book, The Conclusion Trap, about better problem solving, comes out in March.  

Markovitz lived in Japan for four years and is fluent in Japanese. He holds a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.  Dan’s website can be found at markovitzconsulting.com.  

Jamie Parker

Process + Results Lean Leadership Development

Jamie V. Parker is the founder of Process + Results Lean Leadership Development, where she helps operations managers master the people side of Lean so they can transition from tool-based implementation to culture transformation.  Jamie brings her 17 years’ experience in operations leadership across retail, service, and manufacturing environments to her work with organizations.  She believes that everyone deserves to feel valued at work and is most known for helping leaders build Lean-thinking operations teams by improving their day-to-day leadership behaviors and team member interactions.  Jamie is the author of chapter 6 in the book "Practicing Lean" and is a frequent speaker and workshop facilitator at Lean conferences and training events.  Her website can be found at processplusresults.com
